CIESPI at PUC Rio announces a study to be launched in April intitled "A profile of children and adolescents in the situation of the streets and in institutional care in Brazil"

CIESPI at PUC-Rio has just launched Bulletin Nº1 of the Project Safe, Inclusive Participative Pedagogy: Improving Early Childhood Education in Fragile Contexts.

The Child Campaign is a Priority during Elections is a project of the National Early Childhood Network (RNPI).

The project “Monitoring child participation in policies and international child protection programs” seeks to identify approaches and participatory methodologies which would permit deepening comprehension about child and youth participation principally those which refer to implementation in the sphere of the protection and guarantee of rights.

CIESPI was particularly concerned about the impact on early childhood funding and was actively involved through the National Coalition on Early Childhood to support the successful national campaign.

Listening to young people and promoting places for them to participate in key decisions on
their lives have long been central to CIESPI’s work. A new publication takes these concerns
into the area of institutional care for adolescents.

The International and Canadian Children’s Rights Partnership (ICCRP), have just finished a four year project with partners in Brazil, Canada, China, South Africa and the UK, that has been looking at children’s human rights in situations of international child protection.

CIESPI/PUC-Rio is proud to announce a new four-year project on how to improve the education and condition of young children living in contexts of vulnerability.

CIESPI’s long term interest in young people living on the streets has just resulted in its latest publication, The voices of pregnant young women and mothers in vulnerable situation: A study and suggestions for public policies.
