CIESPI/PUC-Rio policy/advocacy success for street children cited in international report

In previous postings, we recorded CIESPI’s success in facilitating a broad coalition to
oppose Rio de Janeiro’s major attack on the rights of street children. Now, the major
international coalition on street children has cited that work in its annual briefing paper.
The Consortium for the Rights of Street Children, (CSC), a coalition with over 100 members
throughout the world and headquartered in London, has published a critical update on that
complex of issues, The protection and promotion of human rights for street-connected
children: Legal, policy and practical strategies for change (March 2017, Streetchildren.org.)
This report provides a succinct yet thorough assessment of current issues in protection of
street children.
